Triostar Stromanthe & Maintenance

Light Level: Requires medium to bright indirect light

Water: Keeping the soil constantly moist, but not waterlogged. In cooler weather, this plant can be kept a little drier. Allow just the top inch of soil to dry before rewatering.

If the leaves turn brown, remove it from its pot and keep it in a dish of water for a few hours before draining, rinsing, and repotting. Yellow leaves mean the soil is waterlogged and needs to dry out before watering again. This may take a couple of weeks. If the soil won’t dry out, then it’s time to repot the plant.

Fertilizing: Triostar’s do not need to be fertilized thorugh winter. Feed the plant with a diluted fertilizer every month in the growing season.

the triostar prefers a humid environment and warm temperatures. It does best in temperatures of around 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Many people will keep their triostars in a bathroom window. That way they get plenty of humidity. They don’t like environments that have harsh, dry heat or air-conditioning.
