ZZ Plant Care & Maintenance
Light Level: This plant likes bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves of your plants.
Water: This plant is highly drought-tolerant and can handle infrequent watering. You should generally water your zz plants once the soil dries out completely, usually once every two weeks. When watering, wet the soil thoroughly until the water is running out of the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot. Get rid of the excess water.
Soil: It’s important that you maintain nutrient-rich potting soil with good drainage. You’ll want to use a well-draining potting mix.
Fertilizing: Occasional fertilizing (approximately once a month) from spring to fall will help to avoid nutrient deficiencies.
ZZ Plant prefer moderate to warm temperatures between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit, with moderate humidity. You can increase humidity by placing the potted plant on top of a dish filled with rocks and water.
