Money Tree Care & Maintenance
Light Level: This plant likes a mix of direct and indirect sunlight. Too much direct sun can scorch the leaves. To achieve the right balance with your money tree, turn or rotate it regularly for more even light distribution.
Water: This plant requires moist soil, but should not be overwatered. Give it a good watering every one to two weeks, allowing the soil to dry in between, or if your money tree is receiving a lot of sunlight water when the soil feels dry to the touch.
Soil: It’s important that you maintain nutrient-rich potting soil with good drainage. You’ll want to use a well-draining potting mix or add some sand and gravel for extra porousness.
Fertilizing: Occasional fertilizing (approximately once every 2 weeks) will help to avoid nutrient deficiencies.
Money Trees prefer moderate to warm temperatures between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit, with moderate humidity. You can increase humidity by placing the potted plant on top of a dish filled with rocks and water.
