  • Ninebark is a tough, upright rounded shrub whose foliage emerges in shades of chartreuse green, copper or dark chocolate-purple
  • Ninebark produces 1-2″ wide, white to pink flower clusters in spring along with exfoliating brown bark in winter
  • Plant in well-drained to moist, amended soil 
  • Water well after planting
  • Prune after blooming
  • Remove older stems from the base to keep plant attractive
  • Remove dead branches as any time
  • Feed at least twice during the growing season with a slow release fertilizer in early spring and again mid-summer
  • Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature
