Look for ‘Early Flat Dutch’, a multipurpose, green cabbage that likes to grow in tight spaces, the crinkled, award winning ‘Savoy King’, and colorful ‘Red Jewel’. You will have plenty of cabbage for coleslaw, sour kraut, and to store for later.

Grow in sunny, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil or containers.
Water well after planting – maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season.
Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season.
Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
