This biennial herb produces a curly or flat Italian leaf that can be used fresh or dried in all dishes, sauces, soups and stews. A good source of vitamin C and an aromatic companion to chives, tomatoes, carrots and roses. A favorite attractant for butterflies.

CARE NOTES:
Grow in sunny, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil or containers.

Water well after planting – maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season.

Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season.

Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.

Harvest 1/3 of the new, tender foliage in the morning. Dry or freeze extra for future use.
