This extremely aromatic, light green, upright-arching, tropical grass can make a statement in your annual herb garden or as a lemon scented “thriller” in a sunny container. Lower leaf sections and foliage are used as a superb lemon flavoring in Asian dishes. This plant can be wintered over indoors in a sunny window. Cut back to 6″ before bringing it inside in late fall.

CARE NOTES:
Grow in sunny, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil or containers.
Water well after planting – maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season.
Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season.
Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
Harvest entire stems at the base in the morning. Freeze extra.
