A delectable stir-fry favorite that has a sweet, mild flavor. It produces sturdy bunches of thick white, celery-like stalks topped with deep green, round foliage that is excellent in salads too. Whether its used fresh out of the garden, steamed or cooked it is easy to grow in containers or in a small garden; possessing excellent heat and cold tolerance for two plantings early spring and mid-summer.

CARE NOTES:

Grow in sunny, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil or containers.

Water well after planting – maintain 1” – 2″ of water once a week throughout the growing season. 

Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season.

Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
